The end of an incredible affair. Little Mia and her mother were found in a squat in Switzerland, the prosecution said on Sunday morning. We had no news of the girl, kidnapped Tuesday by three men in a village in the Vosges, Poulières, where her maternal grandmother lives. The latter had been designated in January “trusted third party” by justice.

According to the prosecutor, who gave a first press conference this Sunday morning, the girl is in good health. The Judicial Protection of Youth was mandated to collect it and hand it over to his maternal grandmother. The mother was taken into custody. They were both found around 10:45 a.m. in an abandoned factory in Holy Cross.

A 43-year-old man, suspected of having participated in the preparation of the kidnapping, was to be referred this Sunday with the four other suspects arrested Wednesday and Thursday in Paris and the Paris region, said the prosecutor earlier in the morning. Unlike these four men who “took part in the expedition to the Vosges, the fifth was not there but he contributed to its preparation”, declared the magistrate.

Kidnappers claim to have acted on mother’s request

The suspects must be presented Sunday morning to an investigating judge in Nancy for their indictment. At the end of these presentations, the magistrate will hold a brief press conference. The Nancy public prosecutor’s office is seized of this case, the qualification of “kidnapping of a 15-year-old minor in an organized gang” requiring a specific competence which is deprived of the court of Epinal, seized initially.

Mia, 8, was kidnapped Tuesday by three men, by cunning and without violence, while she was accommodated in Poulières, a Vosges village located about thirty kilometers from Epinal. The alleged kidnappers claimed to have acted at the request of the mother of the child who wanted to recover her daughter.
