Bafin: Not like that, boss – economy

As a rule, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, or Bafin for short, is a very buttoned-up organization: its employees rarely appear in public, hardly anything from the inside of this “public law institution” leaks out, and certainly nothing is known about the working atmosphere. i.e. the tone among one another, quarrels and power struggles. So it was a rare insight that recently emerged in the administrative court in Cologne when an official and the financial supervisory authority argued in a labor law case. The question: Did employee W. make inappropriate, even improper comments to the head of the banking supervision department, Raimund Röseler? And that in connection with a topic that is still more than unpleasant for Bafin today: the Wirecard scandal?
