The CGT in the street for “salaries and pensions”, Black Thursday at the RATP

Two weeks after a first mobilization, the CGT is launching a new call for mobilization for “wages and pensions” on Thursday, while a large-scale strike movement is planned at the RATP.

The CGT is calling for a boost to the minimum wage, an increase in the civil service index point, and the indexing of wages to inflation. The previous day of strike, October 27, had mobilized little.

This time, the union organization expects “150 to 200 demonstration points”, with a mobilization at least equivalent to that of October 18, at the height of the refinery strike.

“Zero metro, zero RER” objective at RATP

The CGT is the only union of employees to call to participate in this day at the national and interprofessional level, the FSU and Solidaires calling only locally to join the processions.

The RATP is in fact expecting a black day, with a call for strike relayed by all the unions which have set a clear objective: “zero metro, zero RER”. According to initial estimates, traffic will be “very severely disrupted” on the metro and RER (RATP zone), and “disturbed on the bus and tram”.

The watchword – increase in wages and improvement of working conditions through recruitment – is unifying in a company where the social climate is severely degraded.
