According to information from France 3 Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, a beat was organized on Saturday, around Lake Save in the town of Arandons-Passins. The 40-year-old’s car was found in a nearby parking lot after she was reported missing. For nearly three weeks, the investigators had directed their research in this area, characterized by “a lot of peat and swamps”, explained Captain Robert, second in command of the gendarmerie company of La Tour-du-Pin, to the local media.

The body found “outside the scope of research”

After inspecting kilometers, the searches of the mobilized volunteers had still yielded nothing at the end of the afternoon. A group of five people then proposed to continue using a pendulum. “For lack of other leads”, the authorities accepted “even if these are not objective means”, still relays France 3. “Finally, they are the ones who discovered the body, outside our scope of research “said the captain. The corpse was on the shores of the lake.

The gendarmes identified it as being that of the disappeared. An autopsy must be performed to determine the exact circumstances of his death.
