The Arctic Monkeys “back for an exclusive date in France”

The British in force. The groups Arctic Monkeys, Idles and Squid will be at the rendezvous of the next edition of Rock en Seine, which will be held from August 25 to 28, 2022, at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud, the organizers announced on Tuesday.

Escaped from Sheffield in the early 2000s, the Arctic Monkeys, led by their singer-guitarist Alex Turner, have built a solid career between the abrasive rock of the beginnings and the melancholy of their last record, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino in 2018.

“Some unreleased tracks from a highly anticipated new album”

“They will be back for an exclusive date in France” and “will undoubtedly unveil a few unreleased items from a highly anticipated new album,” promise the programmers in the press release.

This group joins the first headliners already unveiled: Stromae, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Tame Impala, Kraftwerk, Jamie XX, La Femme, The Blaze, Malik Djoudi and even the Limiñanas.

Due to the health crisis, Rock en Seine had been canceled in its usual format in 2020 (just a symbolic evening in limited capacity) and 2021. Nearly 100,000 spectators were at the rendezvous in 2019.
