1. Liverpool get their revenge. Humiliated Naples (1-4) during the first day, the Reds took revenge thanks to two late goals from salah (85th) and Nunez (90+8th). With Tottenham and Frankfurt, 14 qualifiers out of 16:Napoli, Liverpool, Porto, Brugge, Bayern, Inter, Tottenham, FrankfurtChelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Dortmund, PSG, Benfica. last two tickets will be contested on Wednesday between the AC Milan and RB Salzburg on the one hand (group E) and between the RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk on the other hand (group F).
4. Even no Europa League to console Atletico Madrid! Third in Group B before kick-off, the Madrid club finished good last following its defeat Porto (1-2) and the draw between Bruges and Bayer Leverkusen (0-0), which took the place of Colchoneros in C3. Catastrophic European campaign for Diego Simeone’s men, from start to finish…
5. Sad first for Atletico… Defeated Porto (1-2) and dead last in their group, the Madrid club experienced a sad first in C1. In effect, the Colchoneros had never finished last in their group !
