Testing the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer: Don’t call me a minivan – Auto & Mobil

Mercedes will discontinue the B-Class in the medium term, but BMW is sticking with the minivan. Officially, the Active Tourer can’t be called that because it’s supposed to be more of a lifestyle express than a commercial vehicle. The concept obviously works well: 400,000 units of the first model generation were sold. The longer and thus bulkier Gran Tourer charmed 200,000 customers – not enough for a second edition. Especially since the buyers were on average 62 years old and thus older than with any other BMW model.
