Queen Sonja appeared in a summery ensemble of white trousers and a red blazer trench coat with a collar and belt. She also wore sunglasses, light brown ankle boots with high heels and a matching small handbag.

In Kongsberg the two were warmly greeted with bouquets of flowers. According to a statement from the palace The royal couple took part in a festive appearance in the church before being cheered by fans on the square in front of the church. “Congratulations on this day in Kongsberg and good luck for the next 400 years,” the two were quoted as saying in the statement.

Queen Harald had two heart operations

King Harald V of Norway resumed his royal work on April 22nd after being absent for an extended period.

In February he fell ill while on a private holiday with his wife in Malaysia. Because his heart rate was too low, he was initially fitted with a temporary pacemaker in a hospital. After returning home to Norway, he received another operation to install a permanent pacemaker.

However, the king announced in April that he would reduce his royal workload in the future.
