From this Wednesday, there should be crowds in the streets for the reopening of shops, cultural places and terraces, authorized not to lower the curtain until 9 p.m., the new start time of the curfew. To support this recovery to a more normal life in the Lyon metropolitan area, Sytral has decided to strengthen the transport offer for buses, metros, trams and funiculars as of May 19.

Since May 3, according to the mixed union, organizing authority of TCL, the Lyon network has recorded “a clear increase in its attendance during the day and in the evening to reach 65% and more than a million trips per day”. Faced with these transport needs, an offer of 95% will be deployed on weekdays and 100% on weekends and in the evening “in connection with the spring period, conducive to travel and leisure”, indicates in a press release Bruno Bernard, the president of Sytral.

On June 9, marking the last stage of deconfinement and the shift of the curfew to 11 p.m., the TCL network will again operate at 100% to support “the resumption of all economic, cultural and sporting activities”.
