“The FDP and we will certainly now evaluate the discussions as a whole in the committees. So not every conversation individually, but also in a comparison of what is possible for the next government in Germany. We will then take our time today and tomorrow.”
So now the FDP and the Greens have to decide with whom to go into negotiations first. With the Union or the SPD.
SZ editor Mike Szymanski says that SPD chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz is betting everything on a traffic light alliance: “He wants this alliance to work in the end, which means that he needs partners who can work together. If the Greens and FDP in need time these weeks and days to coordinate their positions, then I have the impression that he is happy to give them this time. “
