Nicolas Cage isn’t picky about his choice of roles. Be it because of financial needs or passion for his job: the man spins like a madman. Six films with him were released in 2023 alone. A lot of it is cheaply produced B-stock and pretty forgettable. And yet there are always good things among them, like “Sympathy For The Devil”. Normally, such ninety-minute thrillers with no artistic ambitions are sold directly on the home video market or in the nirvana of streaming services. The fact that Yuval Adler’s film found its way into German cinemas is a good thing.
