“Where it says ‘K’ on it, there’s culture there.” Kai Gniffke, director of SWR, was quoted as saying in a press release from his station: “Our brand ‘SWR Kultur’ is now complete with the renaming and integration of our cultural wave.” This refers to the radio station SWR 2, which will be called SWR Kultur from April 15th. If you understand Gniffke correctly, a cultural radio program is something that needs to be integrated. It would therefore initially be something foreign, something that doesn’t belong.
