He is one of the most famous news TV anchors and is retiring in the summer. It is now clear who will follow RTL anchorman Peter Kloeppel.

RTL has named a new news team to succeed decades-long anchorman Peter Kloeppel. The journalist Roberta Bieling and the journalist Christopher Wittich will be the news anchors of “RTL Aktuell” in the summer, as the television company announced on Tuesday in Cologne. Anna Fleischhauer and Andreas von Thien look after the sports area. This means that the private broadcaster RTL fills the positions from within its own company and does not bring in anyone from outside.
