Fans can rejoice: In his first leading role in a television series, Arnold Schwarzenegger lets it rip for another season as a CIA agent.

Arnold Schwarzenegger remains a series star. On Sunday night it was announced that the action comedy series “Fubar” will get a second season. Since the end of May, the 75-year-old, who was born in Austria, has been seen in his first leading role in a television series on the Netflix streaming service.

In the eight-part espionage series to date, Arnie lets it rip as a CIA agent alongside Monica Barbaro in the tried and tested manner. According to earlier Netflix information, the series collected more than 30 million views worldwide (“219.3 million hours viewed divided by 7.13 hours of runtime”) in just under three weeks (May 25 to June 11).

The expected announcement of a second season has now been made in São Paulo at the fan event “Tudum” (named after the sound played before the start of a series on Netflix). The streaming giant says it has 233 million paying subscribers worldwide.
