A demonstration that degenerated in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. LREM deputy Stéphane Claireaux announced Monday his intention to file a complaint after being targeted the day before by projectiles thrown in front of his home by demonstrators against the health pass.

The Minister of the Sea, Annick Girardin, had denounced Sunday evening an “attack”, affirming that Stéphane Claireaux had “received many projectiles violently projected in the face followed by stone throws”, while the Minister of Overseas, Sébastien Lecornu, considered that he had been “lynched in front of his family home”.
Sébastien Lecornu also announced that the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, and himself have “instructed the prefect of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon to ensure the protection of the deputy”, also supported by the president of the ‘National Assembly, Richard Ferrand.
This attack took place a few days before the establishment, Wednesday, of the health pass in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, a community of some 5,900 inhabitants located off the eastern coast of Canada.
