May 4 resonates throughout the galaxy (“May the Fourth” in English…), it is the “ Star Wars Day » ! A special day to celebrate the famous American cinematic saga created by George Lucas, belonging to the genre of science “fantasy” and space soap opera.

Imagination in daily life
Loïc, Jérémy, Adrien and Sebastian fell into the Jedi pot as children. Living not in a distant galaxy, but just a stone’s throw from here, these young people devote their private, and sometimes professional, lives to the mythology embracing the Skywalker family, the dark Sith, or even Master Yoda and Ahsoka.
A fan among fans, Adrien is passionate about lightsabers. At 35, he created his brand of replica lightsabers and started a fight club. He recalls in this episode: “I discovered “Star Wars” for the first time around CE2, with the VHS tape of “Return of the Jedi”. We started straight away with the best. (…) Afterwards I went to a lightsaber school. So it had a pretty strong impact on me. I follow the films and the news, I am involved in reality, even creating this lightsaber school. It’s my way of living this passion.”
As for Loïc, this young man is responsible for communications for the “Heirs of the Force” association. His love of the saga is also a story of transmission from his father, a fan from the start. Every year, the association organizes an event which brings together several thousand people, “ the Generation Star Wars convention », the 25th edition of which was held on April 27 and 28, 2024 in Cusset (Allier).
