At Springer, people are once again bending over the unpleasant files. The allegations against the then Springer boss Julian Reichelt were actually comprehensive and worked up to the best of our knowledge, as the group had always reported. For example, through the Freshfields law firm, which began an investigation in spring 2021 and spoke to several women who allegations of abuse of power against the then Picture-Boss Reichelt had reported. Or by CEO Mathias Döpfner himself, who came to different assessments of the case, who clung to Julian Reichelt for a long time, only to then dismiss him with the consumptive justification that Reichelt had “not clearly separated private and professional life” and the publishing board in the compliance procedure that told an untruth about it.
