She explains why she decided against it in a “letter” to her followers, which she published on Instagram along with a breastfeeding photo from her postpartum bed. “Why did we decide to no longer show Ludwig’s face on Instagram? Ludwig comes from the marriage of Cathy and Mats Hummels. After many years of relationship, the two tied the knot in 2015 and divorced in 2022. Ludwig didn’t show it in the first four years of his life, but at the beginning of July 2022 it was published in a post. “I’m showing Ludwig in this photo because he was here at an official appointment or I was with him,” she explained at the time.
