The Stuttgart business economist and employee of Deutsche Bahn, Simon Milewski, 28, made an interesting discovery during his vacation in Sicily.
SZ: Mr. Milewski, what did you discover?
Simon Milewski: I was just in Mondello north of Palermo and went to the beach at noon. Then I saw a piece of plastic lying in the sand and picked it up. It was a credit card called Harrison Ford.
So so.
At first I thought to myself: someone is called that by coincidence. Or it’s a fake card. In any case, it quickly became clear to me that I had to hand the card over to the police.
Very right!
I also found it interesting to see such an Italian police station from the inside. So I looked on the internet and found out that the nearest police station was very close.
And after that, are you back to the beach?
Yes. But after half an hour I was fermenting. So I entered “Harrison Ford” on my mobile phone and found: He’s really in Sicily right now and is making a new Indiana Jones film.

Do you like “Indiana Jones”?
When I finally had my own television in my room, as a teenager in the Ruhr area, I often saw Harrison Ford films. On private television.
With commercial breaks?
Yes. There were no streaming services back then.
Commercial breaks are horrific. How did it go with the credit card?
Well, I did some more research on my cell phone and found an Italian article only two hours old that apparently reported that Mr. Ford had just been seen on the beach in Mondello. So I went straight back to the police and told them I would like to introduce myself to Mr. Ford. The police told me where to find him.
And where did you find him?
He was sitting with his family on the first floor of a fish restaurant. He had the room all to himself. His team and the bodyguards on the first floor were so nice and let me through.
Mr. Milewski, you actually work as a recruiter for train drivers at Deutsche Bahn. Which celebrities have you met in your life?
Once I was jostled by Sigmar Gabriel at the main train station. And once I took a selfie with Lutz van der Horst from the ZDF Today Show.
Good. But there is Harrison Ford …
… yes, that’s something completely different!
How did Mr. Ford react when you stood in front of him?
He asked, “Why didn’t you just run off with my credit card?”
You’d never do that, would you?
No. if I Had lost my credit card, I would even happy when someone gives them away.
Just. Fortunately, Mr. Ford didn’t crash into you in a plane like he did when he had to make an emergency landing on a golf course in California.
Yes, he’s not the youngest anymore. I’m still looking forward to the new Indiana Jones. Another action film at the age of 79 …

Hopefully Eastwood didn’t have anything to do with the shoot. Did you actually get a finder’s reward from Mr Ford?
Somebody took a picture of him and me, that was the finder’s reward, so to speak. I later posted the photo on various channels. Many people thought that was great.
And nothing else?
Well, if they would offer me a tiny supporting role in the new film, that would of course be a dream.
