She finds her cat ten years after her disappearance

“We said we’d see each other in ten years, same day, same time, same apples.” Was Charli a big fan of Patrick Bruel? ! This cat, which disappeared in 2014 at the age of 5, has just been returned to its owner, Camille, a resident of Brignais, a town near Lyon, reports News Lyon. She had lost it when she moved and entrusted the animal to her mother but it had not “adapted” to its new environment and had “disappeared”. Until… last week and a call from the SPA.

The organization contacted the woman to let her know that her cat had been found alive. “Mind-blowing” news for the latter who moved to Drôme in the meantime and had lost hope of seeing her pet again one day. “I thought he had found another territory or was crushed to death,” she told the newspaper.

A reunion thanks to a Facebook group

Camille owes this reunion to Carine, the founder of a Facebook group for searching for lost or stray cats in Brignais. When she was sent photos of Charli, who was near Camille’s mother’s home, she sent everything to the SPA which “quickly identified the owner”, she told the local media. And luckily, Camille hadn’t changed her contact details in ten years.

Charli was hungry, thirsty and thin but without health problems, assured the veterinarian. He has now found his family made up of Camille but also his three children. “We’re back to our habits, he’s super cuddly, we’ve found a relationship like before, it’s great,” she concluded, hoping that her story “will make pet owners want to have them microchipped.”
