The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of continuous rain and squalls in parts of Bavaria. It was said on Monday morning that heavy, continuous rain could be expected in the Alps, the southern foothills and the Oberallgäu until Wednesday.
Strong winds will blow in western Bavaria on Monday, and hurricane gusts of up to 120 kilometers per hour can develop in the Alps. On Tuesday night the wind will also blow stronger in the east and then subside.
The Bavarian flood intelligence service predicted rising water levels in some cases, but did not issue a flood warning on Monday.
