What happens when women refuse? Aristophanes already addressed this question in the ancient comedy “Lysistrata”. In it, the women of Athens and Sparta sexually withdraw from their husbands so that they end the war. The Austrian author Mareike Fallwickl also asks the question again and again. Now she does so in her new novel “And everyone so quiet”.
