The new patch V23.00 is here and you have to download it before you can start chapter 4. On the PlayStation 5, the download is almost 11.8 GB in size.

If you log out of the game now, you only get the message that the “servers are not responding”. If you’ve already been in-game and stared at the screen, you’ve now been automatically logged out.

So something seems to be happening at Fortnite, but the servers are not online yet. In addition, a queue is slowly starting again.

In the trailer we see the bikes for the first time, which you can now use not only to drive but also to shoot while driving.

There was also a first look at the new crossovers, including Geralt from The Witcher, Doomguy from Doom and Deku from My Hero Academia.

Something happened overnight in Fortnite, but not yet in the game itself. There we continue to sit in front of the new map and sizzle some marshmallows over the fire.

First of all, the error with the account connection on the part of Epic has been solved. You can now rejoin the game normally, even if it doesn’t do you much good. Also, there is currently no queue.

Then Epic Games announced a new trailer for the launch of Chapter 4. This starts at 9 a.m. German time and you can watch it here.

It is currently unknown whether the game will go online again immediately with the trailer. We will keep you up to date.

This is the current server status

The servers have been back online since December 4th at around 09:05. But before you can start the game, you currently have to download a patch.

Unable to sign in to your PlayStation Network/Xbox Live account

A lot of Fortnite players are seeing this error right now. Epic has already indicated on Twitter that it is being worked on.

However, there is currently no way to work around the error. Since the servers are offline anyway and Fortnite is not playable, Epic still has a few hours to fix this error.

When will the Fortnite servers be back online?

After the live event took place on December 3rd, the servers were offline again for a long time. But with the latest trailer, which you can check out below, Chapter 4 has now started. All you have to do is download the latest patch, which is at least 11.8 GB on the PS5.

What’s next for Chapter 4 and after the event?

Fortnite is of course not over forever after the event, even if you might think so at first. Because, as is so often the case, Epic prepares the game for the end of the chapter in such a way that it first temporarily offline is.

You can already get a first look at the Chapter 4 map here – spoiler alert, of course:

Here are some other dataminer and insider leaks at a glance (via HYPEX):

What awaits you afterwards? Epic Games hasn’t really commented on what’s in store for us in Chapter 4 yet. All we know is that it’s supposed to start around December 4th. But we can be sure that there will be a new map since the old one was destroyed in “Shattered”.
