The 835th Hamburg port anniversary ends with the traditional departure parade. 1.5 million people attended the harbor festival this year.
After four days, the 835th Hamburg port anniversary comes to an end today. According to the organizers, around 1.5 million people visited the maritime festival this year. “The guests of the 835th port birthday were treated to a great program in the best weather,” said Hamburg’s Senator for Economic Affairs Melanie Leonhard (SPD) at the end. The new, floating stage and the musical evening program there were very well received by visitors.
The harbor birthday ends on Sunday with a departure parade
The harbor anniversary comes to an end with the departure parade. The fire department fire boat “Brand Director Westphal” was there, followed by the Polish sailing training ship “Dar Mlodziezy” and other large and small ships. Visitors can celebrate on the harbor promenade until the evening hours. More than 250 different ships have been in the city since Thursday.
Light show and tugboat ballet on Saturday

Traveling by subway and S-Bahn is recommended
Since many streets between the fish auction hall and the Elbphilharmonie are closed, visitors should travel by subway and S-Bahn. The HVV is expanding its offering during the day and also at night. However, there are restrictions on the Elbe ferries.
