Schwarzwaldstube opens again: “The fire was overwhelming” – society

Two years ago, a fire destroyed the “Schwarzwaldstube”, one of the best-known starred restaurants in Europe. Now it’s reopening. Senior boss Renate Finkbeiner on the power of the family and what makes a good hotelier.

Before the interview, Renate Finkbeiner, 70, invites you to a tour of the construction site. The senior boss of the Baiersbronn hotelier clan wears an army jacket over an elegant black turtleneck sweater, her hair is braided into a wreath.
