In Schwabing there was a major police operation in the morning: a man threatened a police officer with a gun, the police said. It is not yet clear which weapon it is. The perpetrator was then able to flee and a manhunt was launched. The man has since been arrested.
Traffic was obstructed in Schwabing during the operation. Elisabethstraße between Nordbad and Elisabethmarkt was closed. Numerous armed police officers could be seen, and a helicopter was also circling. The police said there was no threat to the population.
