The traffic light coalition is facing a new test: several Green Party and SPD ministries are not adhering to the specifications of Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner (FDP) for the 2025 federal budget and are entering the negotiations with significantly higher demands. On Thursday they submitted departmental budgets roughly equal to the current 2024 budget.
