Santa Claus authorized to fly in the skies of France

The magic of Christmas or the magic of making people talk about their city (and it works, the proof)? The mayor of Saint-Genis-Laval, on the outskirts of Lyon, took a decree “a bit special for Christmas night”, as Marylène Millet writes
on Twitter. Indeed, like other municipalities, the city council authorizes Santa Claus to fly over his municipality and to circulate on the roofs.

“Considering the absolute necessity for the children of the distribution of gifts […], Santa Claus is entitled to freely fly over the entire Saint-Genois territory on the night of December 24 to 25, on the sole condition that the children are asleep, ”it is written in the decree posted on Twitter.

Reindeer can graze in city parks

The delivery man is also allowed to graze his reindeer in a city park, where children are encouraged to “prepare a snack, preferably hot,” to make his job easier.

Other municipalities, such as Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (Savoie), Tavel (Gard), Saint-Léonard (Pas-de-Calais) or Ploemeur (Morbihan), have taken similar decrees, which already appeared last year. as the holidays approach.
