Advances by the Ukrainian defenders near Bakhmut have stabilized the situation, according to British experts. However, small advances by the Russian mercenary group Wagner can also be observed.

According to British military experts, the most important Ukrainian supply route to the embattled city of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine is now better secured. This emerges from the daily intelligence report from the Ministry of Defense in London on Tuesday. Accordingly, the advances of the Ukrainian defenders on the flanks in the north and south in the past few days have led to stabilization. The Donets-Donbass Canal has now become the natural dividing line between Ukrainian and Russian troops as part of a “deep defensive zone” around the town of Chasiv Yar.

In the center of Bakhmut, according to the British, the fighters of the Russian mercenary force Wagner are still making small advances, where they are taking over positions from the Ukrainians, the statement said.

The Ministry of Defense in London has been publishing daily information on the course of the war since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, citing intelligence information. Moscow accuses London of a disinformation campaign.
