MSI is also focusing on the new super generation of the RTX 40 from Nvidia at CES 2024 and is presenting numerous new models. However, the MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16G Expert stands out from the crowd and is a real alternative for those who prefer the design of Nvidia’s own Founders Edition.
MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16G Expert
The MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Super 16G Expert also uses a push-pull airflow design with a patented fan design to make cooling performance more efficient. One fan blows cool air into the cooling system with vapor chamber, while the other sucks the warm air out the other side. In desktop mode, the fans stand still, which MSI markets as Zero Frozr. What is also striking is the aluminum housing, which is somewhat reminiscent of the inverted radiator inlets introduced in automobiles in recent years. The exact clock speeds of the Expert variant are not yet known and the product page is not yet online. MSI has not yet revealed a price either.
At CES 2024, MSI will be showing the Expert model with an RTX 4080 Super, but nothing is known about whether the other RTX 40 Super models will also get an Expert model. In particular, an MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super Expert might be an option.
MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Super Suprim X
MSI will once again release a Suprim X of the 4080 Super, which uses the Tri Frozr 3S as a cooler. The Suprim X also uses a vapor chamber and brushed aluminum on the outside of the cooler and backplate. RGB Mystic Light provides RGB effects. As is well known, you can switch between higher clock speeds and quieter operation via the dual BIOS.
