Riad Sattouf will eat Vincent Lacoste in the comic strip “The young actor”

A specialist in reality comics, Riad Sattouf was inspired by his youth in the Middle East to The Arab of the future, from his daily observations for The secret life of young people and a daughter of friends for Les Cahiers d’Esther. The author-cartoonist decided to do it again for The young actor, a comic strip to be published on November 4 at its new publishing house, Les Livres du futur, and subtitled “The adventures of Vincent Lacoste at the cinema”. The beautiful kids are (a little) back.

“In 2008, I chose the young Vincent, 14, to become the leading role in my first film,” comments Riad Sattouf on Instagram. He was a shy, moving and awkward teenager, a college student in Zep, who had never thought of making films. And here he found himself as the headliner! Since then, we have remained very close. Year after year, I have watched him grow and evolve in the fascinating and sometimes scary world of cinema. He told me a thousand stories about the life of an actor and of course I wrote everything down. “Obviously, he made a book, and inevitably, the readers will be there.
