Rhubarb recipe: delicious compote from the oven (video)

The rhubarb season starts in April and therefore also the time to process the sour vegetable.

We’ll show you how to prepare a delicious and simple dessert with rhubarb.

For the recipe you only need a few ingredients:

800 g fresh rhubarb
1 vanilla pod or 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
1 organic orange
100g honey
Cinnamon
And vanilla ice cream

And this is how it’s done:
First, preheat the oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat.

Clean the rhubarb and cut it into pieces about five centimeters long.

Place the vegetables in a baking dish.

Now you can peel some of the orange peel and squeeze out the juice.

The orange peel and juice are now mixed together with the vanilla, honey and cinnamon in a bowl.

Pour the liquid over the rhubarb.

Finally, cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and put it in the oven for about 25 minutes.

Once the rhubarb is ready, you can serve the dessert with a scoop of ice cream.
