“Let us have faith in ourselves and in those who will follow us”, said Emmanuel Macron, during the tribute to Jean Moulin from the Memorial of the Montluc prison, in Lyon. A way to connect the heroes of the past – through the leader of the resistance, Jean Moulin, and the historian Marc Bloch, who died in deportation – and future generations.

Several groups of demonstrators gathered outside the security perimeter, in Lyon, to protest against the pension reform. The Rhône prefecture has banned gatherings and traffic for about a square kilometer around the Montluc prison, where the ceremony in tribute to Jean Moulin takes place, in the presence of Emmanuel Macron.

11:09 : Faced with the risk of “casserolades”, recurrent since the adoption of the pension reform, all demonstrations have been prohibited near the Champs-Elysées. Filters have also been put in place and the public is kept at a safe distance from the parade.
