The new director of the RBB has massively criticized the planned new version of the State Broadcasting Treaty. This is “an interference with the autonomy guaranteed to the RBB by the constitution,” Ulrike Demmer told journalists on Wednesday. The federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg, whose governments are drawing up the state treaty, would “interfere with the broadcaster’s independence” with this amendment.
