When a managerial position was last elected at RBB, in September 2022, in the middle of the Schlesinger crisis as a temporary intervention job, there was only one candidate. That didn’t go over well. Katrin Vernau, the only applicant, was greeted with notes saying “This is not a choice”; she needed two passes for the required majority. The election on June 16 is different, the selection committee has named three candidates. All different in very interesting ways. And another name that does not officially appear on the selection committee is very present.
