RATP CEO Jean Castex has called for an internal investigation “to determine the exact causes” of the “exceptional” incident that occurred at rush hour on line 4 of the Paris metro with many passengers stranded for more than an hour and a half in the oars, the management told AFP.
The evacuation of five trains, stopped in tunnels since 7:25 p.m., was not completely completed around 9:10 p.m., according to a spokeswoman for the RATP.
