Pullach – Schindler’s List on the Stage – District of Munich

The story of the industrialist Oskar Schindler, who saved more than 1,000 Jews from the Nazis, has been known since Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film adaptation. A theatrical version of the material will be shown in the Pullach community center on Tuesday, November 23rd, dramatized by Florian Battermann. A “history lesson of a very special kind that could hardly be more touching, emotional and gripping” is promised. The play, a production of the comedy on the Altstadtmarkt, begins in an attic in Hildesheim in 1997: the children of the deceased Staehr couple dissolve the household and find a suitcase by Oskar Schindler in which umpteen original lists, photos and letters are stored. A journey into the past begins. . . Twelve actors act in 27 roles. The plot is based on historically verifiable events. The performance of “Oskar Schindler’s List” starts at 8 pm. Ingo Brosch can be seen in the main role. Tickets are available from the Bürgerhaus Pullach (089/744 74 47 00) or by email: [email protected].
