The European Union’s current plans to classify gas and nuclear power as climate-friendly are ringing alarm bells at geothermal sites in the country. During a visit to the geothermal plant in Pullach, the two members of the state parliament from the Greens, Claudia Köhler and Markus Büchler, assured the managing director of the Pullach geothermal company IEP, Helmut Mangold, that they would do everything in their power to ensure that the state government exerts its influence in Brussels claims to end the taxonomy dispute for the benefit of climate protection and renewable energies.
