Proceedings for private insolvency against Alfons Schuhbeck opened – Munich

Private insolvency: On Wednesday at 11.45 a.m. such a procedure was opened against Alfons Schuhbeck before the Munich District Court as it says on the website, on which insolvency proceedings are announced across countries. Neither Schuhbeck nor his spokesman responded to SZ inquiries on Wednesday evening.

The Picture-Zeitung confirmed the appointed insolvency administrator Rolf G. Pohlmann the report. Schuhbeck was sentenced to three years and two months in prison in October 2022 for tax evasion of around 2.3 million euros. According to Pohlmann, the Munich tax office had filed for insolvency with the insolvency court in December 2022 because of claims against Schuhbeck. The well-known chef then tried to settle the claims. This has now finally failed.

Creditors can now register their claims with the insolvency administrator until August 9th. The Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe rejected Schuhbeck’s appeal against the tax ruling in June. Schuhbeck will soon have to start his prison sentence. The exact date for this is not yet known.
