With the Sonos Ace, the brand is entering the headphone segment. The premium over-ear headphones with Bluetooth offer lossless 3D audio, premium active noise cancellation (ANC) and Aware mode, as well as a home theater experience with Sonos’ new TrueCinema technology.
We were able to test the Sonos Ace at an exclusive event in Berlin on May 16, 2024. In addition, a test sample of the new Sonos headphones will reach our publisher this week. On June 3rd, 2024 we will publish the headphone test here on likehifi.de. Until then, we have put together the most important facts about the Ace for you.
HiFi sound
The Sonos Ace’s two specially developed drivers reproduce every frequency with the highest precision and clarity, so that users can experience their favorite songs, favorite podcasts or phone calls even more intensively.
Personal cinema
Sonos Ace offers an immersive surround sound home theater experience without disturbing other people in the home. TV sound can be switched from a compatible Sonos soundbar to the Sonos Ace with just the touch of a button. 3D audio with Dolby Atmos envelops listeners in dramatically detailed sound from every direction, and dynamic head tracking makes it feel like you’re part of the action even when you leave the room. Available later this year, Sonos’ all-new TrueCinema technology precisely analyzes the environment and reproduces complete surround sound for a realistic experience that lets users forget they’re wearing headphones.
Suppress or allow ambient noise
With active noise cancellation (ANC), the individual sound experience becomes even more personal, or you can activate the aware mode to be aware of what is happening around you – be it on a busy street or at work in the office.
Long battery life and lightning-fast charging
The energy-efficient battery provides at least 30 hours of listening or talking time. Thanks to fast charging, no one will miss a single beat. A 3-minute charge with the included USB-C cable provides 3 hours of battery life.
Comfort
The Sonos Ace is made from lightweight premium materials and conforms gently to the head for maximum comfort. The ear pads are made from soft foam with a vegan faux leather cover, and the custom band and ear pads that cover the hinge provide a great acoustic seal without getting caught in hair.
Intuitive design
Carrying and storing the Sonos Ace couldn’t be easier. Contrasting colors on the inside of the earcups indicate how to put the headphones on, and convenient buttons make it easy to control while wearing them. When not in use, Sonos Ace’s slim design makes it easy to store in its lightweight case.
Manufactured responsibly
The Sonos Ace is durable and designed for everyday use. The headphones feature replaceable ear cushions and are made from recyclable materials that allow us to use 17% less virgin plastic, as well as a cover made from 75% recycled felt from plastic bottles. To increase power efficiency, Wear Detection pauses music playback when the Sonos Ace is removed, minimizing battery consumption.

The Sonos Ace will be available worldwide from June 5, 2024 for €499.00.
