In her role as “Tatort” commissioner Martina Bönisch, Anna Schudt inspired many – including the jury of the German TV Crime Festival.

The actress Anna Schudt, former “Tatort” commissioner, was awarded the honorary prize at the German TV Crime Festival in Wiesbaden.

As Dortmund’s “crime scene” investigator Martina Bönisch, she “embodied a heartfelt modern woman that is rarely found on television,” the jury said. “Almost unnoticed, she accepted her role and played it in an enormously complex way.” Schudt, who was born in Konstanz in 1974, left the crime scene earlier this year after ten years. The award was presented on Sunday evening.

The competition for the German TV Crime Prize officially starts on May 10th with two “Polizeiruf 110” episodes of Bayerischer Rundfunk. The crime series of the year will also be honored at the festival, which runs until May 15. The presentation of the German TV Crime Prize is planned for this Friday (May 13). According to the organizer, eleven broadcasters had submitted a total of 56 television crime stories to the competition. Ten of them made it to the final.
