Prince Albert II and his wife Charlène distributed gifts at a traditional Christmas ceremony in Monaco.

The Monegasques have been waiting for this performance for a long time: Prince Albert II (64) and his wife Princess Charlène (44) came together again this year for the first time since 2020 for the traditional Christmas tree ceremony in front of the palace in Monaco. Also attending were the couple’s eight-year-old twins, Jacques and Gabriella.

The royal family had chosen perfectly styled, matching outfits for the event: Princess Charlène wore a dark blue cape, underneath a black turtleneck sweater and simple diamond earrings. Her daughter Gabriella also came in a dark blue coat. Albert and son Jacques both wore black winter coats.

Charlène chatted casually with visitors

As in previous years, the princely family distributed sweets and gifts to the Monegasque population. Charlène handed a child a Playmobil set, talked to visitors, listened carefully. The princess, who was recently struggling with health problems, seemed relaxed, professional and friendly. Two years ago, she made global headlines at the same event by appearing with her hair half shaved. The following year she was ill for months and was unable to return to her family from her native South Africa for a long time.
