Sora was first introduced in February and had already caused quite a stir there. Finally, AI technology is capable of generating hyper-realistic scenes using text commands. However, Sora has so far only been available to visual artists, designers and filmmakers. Nevertheless, some videos created with the tool have already found their way to platforms like X.
The manufacturer OpenAI is now planning to use the tool to make it accessible to a wider audience and expand it with additional features, such as integrating audio. This innovation could make the generated scenes appear even more realistic.
Despite all the enthusiasm for technological advances, there remain unanswered questions about the data used by OpenAI. Murati did not share any specific details in this regard and only mentioned that the data is either publicly available or licensed. A partnership with Shutterstock has already been confirmed, whose content will be used by Sora.
