Around the turn of the year, there were several burglaries in the north of the district. In Markt Schwaben, for example, the office of a bus company was broken into on Saturday night. The perpetrator(s) levered open a tilted window and searched the room. They stole cash and company cell phones. Police estimate the damage at around $1,500.
Significantly higher, namely at least 6,000 euros in loot plus 500 euros in property damage, is the balance sheet of a burglary in a single-family home in Markt Schwaben on Maria-Adlberger-Strasse. The residents had spent New Year’s Eve with friends, during which time strangers smashed a basement window and got into the house. Also on the last day of the year, an apartment building in Poinger Erikaweg was broken into. A patio door was smashed in, resulting in damage of around 1,000 euros. It is not yet clear what was stolen.
