Actress Jenna Ortega dances in the Netflix series, captivating audiences so much that her choreography has been shared millions of times on social media.

A dance by actress Jenna Ortega (20) from a scene in the new Netflix series “Wednesday” has gone viral on the internet. On Tiktok alone, the choreography was called up more than 450 million times under the hashtag #wednesdaydance and danced countless times. RTL had reported online about the trend.

The mystery comedy series Wednesday, produced by Netflix and Tim Burton, explores the chilling life of the Addams Family’s daughter. The series was released on November 23 and, according to the streaming provider, is one of the most successful: just five days after it was released, more than 50 million households are said to have watched it.

In a video interview, Ortega, who plays the Addams Family daughter of the same name on the series, said she thought up the choreography herself. The actress drew inspiration from ’80s goth club videos and British goth rock musician Siouxsie Sioux, adding, “I stole a couple of her moves.” You can see that: In the somewhat eerie dance with many stiff movements, Ortega characteristically jumps from left to right between dance steps. The same hops can be seen in the music video for the song “Happy House” by Siouxsie Sioux’s band Siouxsie And The Banshees.
