Now, with the reaction of the US right, there is another. They don’t see the leaker as a traitor to the fatherland like they usually do. But a hero. The reason for this is pretty obvious.

The documents prove that the USA – contrary to what the government claims – is actively involved in the fighting, talk show host Tucker Carlson, who is considered to be far right, blows the same horn on “Fox News”. “We are in a war against Russia.”

The Pentagon leaker as a hero

The two stars of the US right see one thing above all in the documents: Proof that the hated government of Democratic President Joe Bidens is deliberately deceiving and lying to the population. In return, they even accept contradicting their own statements. When about last year an early draft of the Supreme Court’s verdict de facto ended abortion rights, Greene had massively attacked it – even equating it as an attack on democracy with the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021 .

Now she doesn’t want to know anything about it. “Of course, publishing secret documents is a serious offense,” she began a tweet on Thursday – only to quickly switch back. “But that’s why many call Jake Teixeira a hero.” Tucker Carlson also makes a similar statement.

Attack from the right wing

In fact, both of them should be about something else. “Jake Teixeira is white, male, Christian and anti-war,” Greene said of her sympathy for the leaker. “That makes him an enemy of the Biden regime.” In fact, Teixeira’s friends reported to the Washington Post in a Discord chat room that the military technician was rather conservative. Racist jokes were also a regular part of the joint chats.

Carlson also sees this as a positive thing. “They treat him like Osama bin Laden,” he said in a rage on Thursday’s show. “Maybe even worse. Because, unlike al-Qaeda, this boy is a racist.” His conclusion: The media wanted to destroy the leaker – on behalf of the secret services.

The two prominent representatives of the US right are apparently speaking from the soul of their audience. Statements of solidarity with Teixeira can also be found on numerous social media. “The Massachussetts Whistle Blower Must Be Set Free”, tweeted outright actor Randy Quaid. “Teixeira is an American hero!”
