Pensioners get lost in the Munich cemetery in the evening – Munich

It was cold on Saturday evening, just a few degrees above zero, and the 85-year-old visitor had wandered around the pitch-dark forest cemetery for an hour before he finally called the police at around 6:30 p.m. The man had visited his son’s grave and then couldn’t find the exit. Apparently he had stayed in the 161-acre cemetery past its regular opening hours, which end at 5 p.m. in November.

The pensioner was able to make his emergency call via cell phone, but he did not have access to the Internet, so the officials could not locate him. The man described his approximate location using street lamps and burial ground numbers. It took about half an hour for officers to guide him to an exit.
