Franco-American chef Thomas Chisholm was seriously injured with a knife in Paris overnight from Sunday to Monday, according to information from the Parisian and of France Televisions. A suspect would have been arrested in the 14th arrondissement, and it would be one of the cook’s employees, report our colleagues.
An uncertain vital prognosis
BFM TV mentions a dispute that allegedly broke out at the exit of the Taste of Paris festival, which was held at the Grand Palais (VIIth arrondissement) this weekend, during which an individual allegedly stabbed Thomas Chisholm before fleeing. According to a journalist from Le Point, it was a 19-year-old Algerian national who stuck his knife in the victim’s thigh.
Contradictory information circulates on his state of health, several sources announcing that his life is in danger, while others believe that he is out of the woods. The winner of the Top Chef season in which he participated, Mohamed Cheick, also published a message suggesting that his comrade was saved, before deleting it.
A chef and an artist
Candidate in 2021 for the twelfth season of Top Chef, the program broadcast on M6, the then 29-year-old young man, born in New York, had made a strong impression, with dishes with an original presentation and a strong sensitivity, before to be eliminated in the ninth week. Fan of hip hop and street-art, he had then insisted a lot on dressage to achieve “beautiful creations”, developing a “graphic” style.
