The defendant, Jean-Yves T., 34, manufactured anabolic steroids by hand, which he sold on the Internet to bodybuilding enthusiasts. He was found guilty by the criminal court of manufacturing, importing, acquiring, transferring and transporting “poisonous substances” and medicines, all in an organized gang, and of illegally practicing the profession of pharmacist.

The thirty-year-old, who called himself online after the famous druid, sold his products under the brand “Androgenix”. The man made his own capsules: with a kitchen blender, he mixed the active ingredient purchased in China with an excipient – flour or lactose.
As for the vials of injectable products, he sterilized them with boiling water and alcohol, in what he himself described as an “underground laboratory”. Due to these “archaic and dangerous manufacturing conditions”, the risks were “non-hypothetical” for consumers, according to an expert opinion included in the file.
During its trial in January, “Panoramix” admitted to having “obscured” the health risks of its “customers”, recruited on specialized forums.
His mother also sentenced
Eight other people appeared alongside him, including his 62-year-old mother. Prosecuted for “complicity” in connection with the “logistical assistance” she provided him, she was sentenced to 12 months in prison.
The seven other defendants, men aged 26 to 43, themselves steroid users, were sentenced to sentences ranging from 15 months suspended to one year in prison for storing the “goods”, managing orders and deliveries. or even participated in the making of the products.
All nine defendants were also ordered to jointly pay 9,000 euros to the Order of Pharmacists, which had become a civil party.
