Oscars winners 2024: Oppenheimer wins – all winners at a glance – culture

“Oppenheimer” won the 96th Academy Awards in Los Angeles. The biographical historical film by Christopher Nolan won seven trophies on Sunday (local time), including in important categories such as “Best Film”, “Best Actor” (Cillian Murphy) and “Best Director”.

Sandra Hueller was nominated in the “Best Actress” category for her film “Anatomy of a Case”. She came away empty-handed, Emma Stone celebrated the award for her performance in “Poor Things”.

The German directors Wim Wenders and İlker Çatak their films “Perfect Days” (for Japan) and “The Teacher’s Room” (for Germany) came away empty-handed in the “Best International Film” category. “The Zone of Interest” (for Great Britain), which also stars Sandra Hülser, took home the trophy.

Hülser was also able to celebrate Justine Triet and Arthur Harariwhich won Best Original Screenplay for the film “Anatomy of a Case.”

Host Jimmy Kimmel led through the almost three and a half hour show, which was staged more quickly than in previous years. The highlight for many was the actor’s appearance Ryan Gosling, who sang the song “I’m Just Ken” from the film “Barbie” with dozens of dancing men. Suddenly Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash was on stage.

After “Oppenheimer,” “Poor Things” was the second most successful film of the night at the Dolby Theater with four Oscars. You can see which films and actresses and actors won in which categories here.
